SOFT TISSUE 2.0
The body of this piece was hand-crocheted in 2019 (or thereabouts) by my sister’s ex—whom I paid to create it!!!—using multiple shades of wool spun by a woman named Mabs in Waldoboro, Maine. Mabs gifted me this wool in 2010 for my thesis collection at Parsons. The navy blue sleeves and neckline are upcycled from an acrylic knitted sweater I found at a thrift store in Maine, making it a great option for those who don’t like the feel of wool against their skin.
The model is 5'10" and wearing an American standard-size men’s large. bust 48”. waist 40”
